Steven Akkersdijk

I’m Steven Akkersdijk, a professional kiteboarder from the Netherlands, and I’ve spent the past 15 years chasing wind around the world.

Most of that time was on the water, but the feeling of flying above land and dunes quickly pulled me into paragliding. What stands out to me about FLARE is the control system. It gives me the feeling of riding with my hands, just like in kiteboarding. For riders like me, it’s a natural bridge into the sky.

I’m always chasing progression, and with FLARE, that journey continues above the ground.
